Please complete and submit this form as soon as possible; the Elie Open is very popular and places fill up fast. Entries close at 5pm on Thursday 4th July Late entries may be accepted under exceptional circumstances and at the discretion of the event organisers.

Competitors 12 years of age or older with a WHS Handicap Index of 28.0 or less at date of entry, may enter competitions played on the 18 holes Elie Links course.

Competitors 12 years of age or older with or without a WHS Handicap may enter and play 9 or 18 holes over the Baird Course.

Entry Fees:

U18, U16, U14 Girls and Boys, 18 Holes over the Elie Links - £20.00

U18 (18 Holes), U12 (9 Holes) over the Baird Course - £15.00

Prizes
Prizes will be awarded to players based on Gross and Net Scores.

Times
Tee times between 9:00am and 1:00pm. Prize giving to take place at approximately 5pm but these times will be dependent on when the final groups finish their rounds, All participants are encouraged to attend the prize giving which will take place in The Golf House Club lounge.

Entry Requirements
Players in the under 18, under 16 and under 14 categories competing on Elie Links are required to have a WHS Handicap Index of 28.0 or below. Players competing on the Baird course may compete with or without a WHS Handicap Index. Play on the Baird course is open to players of all levels, however players without a handicap will not be eligible to win the Net score prize.

Dress Code
For players on Elie Links, a dress code is in place, please check The Golf House Club website for full details. For players on the Baird Course, appropriate sporting attire will be suitable.

Rules
All competitions will be governed by the Rules of Golf as approved by The R&A and by local rules of the clubs. Players are not permitted to play with the assistance of a caddie or bag carrier. Parents and supporters are welcome to walk round the course at a suitable distance from players but are not to give advice.

Entry
Places in the Elie Junior Golf Open are limited and will be provided to players on a first come first served basis.

Additional Conditions of Competition

  • (a) The Junior Open is open to boys and girls under the age of 18 as at 00.01 on 1st January 2024, i.e. born in any year from and

    including 2006.

    (b) Entries must be submitted on the official entry form and be accompanied by payment of the entry fee. Payments by

    BACS should be transferred at time of entry to: Elie Sports Club / AFT Account No. 00634290 Sort Code: 83-24-24.

    (c) Entrants may enter in one category only.

  • (a) Competitors are requested to register at the Golf House Club Starters Office on arrival and not later than 30 minutes prior

    to their starting time.

    (b) The Elie Junior Golf Open shall be played in accordance with the Rules of Golf as approved by R&A Rules Limited and the

    Local Rules of the Golf House Club (GHC) and Elie Sports Club (ESC).

    (c) A player is prohibited from having a caddie during a round. Penalty for Breach of Local Rule: The player gets the general

    penalty for each hole during which he or she is helped by a caddie. If the breach happens or continues between two

    holes, the player gets the general penalty for the next hole.

    (d) Competitors 12 years of age or older as at 00.01 on 1st January 2024, with a WHS Handicap Index of 28.0 or less at date of

    entry, may enter a category played on the 18 holes Elie Links course with trophies awarded to the best gross score in each

    category. Prizes will also be awarded for the best net scores in each category.

    (e) Competitors 12 years of age or older as at 00.01 on 1st January 2024, with or without a WHS Handicap Index may enter and

    play 18 holes over the Baird Course with prizes awarded for the best net scores.

    (f) Competitors under 12 years of age as at 00.01 on 1st January 2024 will play one round of 9 holes over the Baird Course with

    trophies awarded to the best gross score in each category. Prizes will also be awarded for the best net scores.

    (g) Immediately after the round is complete, score cards must be returned to the Score Recorders in the GHC Clubhouse.

  • (a) Trophies will be presented in each age category as stated on the official entry form.

    (b) Further prizes will be awarded by age category.

    (c) Trophy winners will be given the opportunity to have photographs with their trophy. Trophies must not be taken away

    and will be held on display in the Professional’s shop.

  • If a competitor acts contrary to the spirit of the game, the Committee will take appropriate action which may include reporting the facts to the competitor’s home club or national association. If a competitor is considered to have committed serious misconduct the competitor may be disqualified.
